The Electroboat TPA3118 PBTL Mono Digital Amplifier Board leverages Texas Instruments' TPA3118 Class-D IC to produce high power output in a surprisingly small footprint. Utilizing Parallel Bridge-Tied Load (PBTL) configuration, the stereo channels are tied in parallel internally to function as a single-channel (mono) driver—significantly increasing current capability, lowering output impedance, and maximizing output power.

This board provides low noise distortion (THD+N) along with built-in thermal and over-current protection circuitries. Operating with higher than 90% energy efficiency, it generates minimal heat during sustained playback, removing the necessity of bulky external heatsinks. Simply hook up a DC power source (such as a 12V or 24V adapter or battery pack), an audio signal input, and your speaker terminals to achieve powerful audio amplification.

How to Use

1. Power Connection: Connect a regulated DC power source (12V–24V) to the VCC (+) and GND (-) terminals on the board.

2. Audio Input Connection: Connect your line-level audio input (from a Bluetooth receiver board, AUX jack, or MP3 decoder) to the IN and GND pads.

3. Speaker Wire Connection: Connect a 4-ohm or 8-ohm speaker directly across the SPK+ and SPK- terminals.

4. Power On: Apply power. Ensure power supply current matches requirement (at least 3A–5A recommended at 24V for peak 60W performance).
