While standard microcontrollers like Arduino Uno can only simulate analog signals using PWM, the MCP4725 converts digital data words into true, stable analog DC voltage outputs ranging from 0V up to your power supply rail (VCC).

Equipped with an integrated non-volatile EEPROM, the MCP4725 allows you to store the DAC input register settings so that the specified output voltage is restored automatically upon power-up—without requiring microcontrollers to re-send instructions.
